In 2023, Coty’s chief executive officer Sue Nabi leapfrogged her way back to the top spot amid beauty’s highest earning executives.
The reason? A stock allocation of $145.9 million, with graded vesting over several years, subject to conditions.
In second position, the Estée Lauder Cos.’ Fabrizio Freda saw his pay decline for the second year in a row, principally due to a big drop in performance-related incentive pay. Freda’s total pay package for the fiscal year 2023 was $21.8 million, compared with $25.48 million in 2022 and $65.9 million in 2021.
Here, a rundown of the industry’s highest-paid CEOs for 2023, according to company regulatory filings.
