DANCING STAR: Ballet flats for men are just one of the accessories highlighted in Dior’s fall menswear campaign shot by Alasdair McLellan, set in a decor reminiscent of a mirror-lined dance studio.
Models Lars Post, Muzakir Masahudu, Dugyeong Kim, Trystan Ricketts and Till Wenner pose in items from artistic director Kim Jones’ fall collection inspired by Rudolf Nureyev and his uncle Colin Jones, who photographed the Russian dancer.
Clothing includes tailoring, with iterations of his signature Oblique suit; outerwear, with roomy wool melton and leather jackets, and direct references to dance gear, such as ribbed knits, robe coats and zipped wool jumpsuits and shorts.
Soft bags come in a blown-up version of the brand’s signature cannage pattern, and some models wear turbans designed by Stephen Jones, inspired by the ones he originally created for a 1999 Dior womenswear collection by John Galliano.
